Puss in the Corner Quilt: Dated 1841; Pennsylvania

This Puss in the Corner quilt (aka Improved Nine Patch) is made with a wonderful selection of fabrics from the second quarter of the 19th century. It has a label sewn to it that says "Martha Hershey Copenhefer 1841". The fabrics on the front are in excellent condition with slight fraying to the binding and some wear to the backing.  The colors are scattered throughout with consistent pink and green in the corners. Measurements are 80" x 88"; PYork, Pennsylvania origin.
