This Sawtooth (aka Winged Square) quilt is made with an absolutely scrumptious selection of fabrics. They are mostly brown and blue prints with a smattering of lighter tones. The quilt dates to the mid 19th century. It is in excellent condition. Each of the larger triangles has a double quilted tulip. Measurements are 80" x 94".
Sewn to the back is a label that says "Loaned by Mr. and Mrs. W.D.Miller Winged Square Made by Mr. Miller's Grandmother". It's too bad we don't know where it was exhibited but regardless, it is a very beautiful quilt for fabric lovers.
