Both the colors and pattern make this Starbursts quilt really explosive. The Wild Goose Chase border is exactly the right frame to contain it. The small size of the quilt makes the pattern especially compact. Quilting in the corner of each block is done with patterns of pinwheels; flowers and floral bouquets an unexpected choice next to the geometry of the pieced pattern.
Measurements are 68 inches square; made circa 1890. Condition is excellent.
