Vibrant String Stars quilt in the colors most popular in Eastern Pennsylvania in the late 19th century. The cheddar ground is especially emblematic of the time and place. All are solid colors on the front with a red calico backing. Quilting is done in squares and diamonds with an abstract vine and floral border. Excellent condition. Measurements are 80” square. Pennsylvania origin, made 1880’s.
