This Pinwheels Doll Quilt is a wonderfully scaled miniature. It is made with several different pink calico fabrics and a Greek key design to indicate the end for the doll's head. Very rarely does one find fringe on a doll quilt. Pinned to the quilt is a message saying "Quilts were Mary Grace Sewall Hillman. She was born 1874 so date of quilts probably 1876-77. Quilt made by Sarah Sewall her aunt. Played with by her children Annie and Harriet Hillman 1910-1916."The quilt measures 13" x 16" including the fringe. There is slight damage that has been mended on one of the pink outer borders. It shows on the bottom of the first two photos. Slight fading to that border also visible in photos.
