The Melon Patch (aka Orange Peel) is done with a strong solid blue that enhances the positive/negative effect of the quilt. It is in excellent, unwashed condition. A variety of designs includes a cable pattern throughout the border. Measurements are 72 inches square. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1920.
