Variation of Caesar's Crown Quilt dated 1853 w/ Signatures

The primary blocks of this quilt are closest to Caesar's Crown. They are connected by quarter sawtooth circles which seems to be a unique feature. More unusual are the tiny cross stitched initials in every block. In addition, two are dated 1853 and and others say "My Mama and My Papa". The Four Block border gives nice weight to the otherwise light and airy design. The quilt has been professionally laundered and is in excellent condition. It is quilted with a variety of floral and wreath patterns. Measurements are 82" x 86". Pennsylvania origin.
