This Irish Chain quilt stands out from the crowd because of the wonderful wide border. It is a bit different from the chain as all of the blocks are on point, giving even greater visual interest and making a very successful frame. Quilting is well done with a wreath in each of the white blocks. The quilt is in excellent, unwashed condition. In sum, it is both well conceived and well executed. The quilt is from Adams County, Pennsylvania; circa 1880. Measurements are 84" x 87".
