I have delayed posting this quilt because I have been on a search for a name for the pattern. The closest I have come are: The Banner Quilt; A Dainty Quilt and Spiderweb. None seem totally accurate but it is the closest I have come.
In spite of its lack of a name, it is beautifully quilted. The stitching is done with feathers throughout. Sewn on the back of the quilt is a label from the Western Pennsylvania Documentation Project indicating this it is entry BVR 0150. The quilt was made circa 1880. It is entirely done with the same solid red fabric. It has been washed in its lifetime. There is a light spot smaller than a pea on an outside border but it isnot at all distracting. The quilt measures 71" x 80".
