The Banner is the unlikely name for this pattern. It is bold and dramatic. A square on point in the center of each block and straight on around the border give a lot of movement to what might have been a simple pattern.
This would be a wonderful complement to the Spiderweb quilt listed as item q1236. It is essentially the same pattern with the colors reversed.
The Banner measures 64" x 78". Quilting is done in straight and diagonal lines. Condition is excellent. Pennsylvania origin; made circa 1900.
