This solid colors of this striking Amish example do a lot to emphasize the depth of the pattern. The quilt was made circa 1930 in La Grange County, Indiana. A typewritten note sewn to the back describes the quilt and has an item number. It also has a sleeve for hanging sewn to the back. All of this indicates that it was likely shown in an exhibition. The quilt measures 80" x 98"; made of cotton. Excellent condition; quilted throughout with diagonal lines.
