This is a very fine example of a classic Amish Ocean Waves quilt. The colors, quilting and condition make it a real stand out. The black background is cotton sateen giving a nice sheen to the piece. The border is done with feather quilting and wreaths in each of the black diamonds. The triangles are a beautiful combination of soft pinks, purples and black. The border and binding are a dusty rose color. Measurements are 66" x 76". The quilt is in excellent, unwashed condition. The backing is navy blue cotton. Ohio Amish; made 1920's.
