Antonio Pineda Sterling Silver and Moonstone Pendant Necklace

Most unusual sterling silver and moonstone pendant by Antonio Pineda. This very rare form consists of a graceful pendant with two oval moonstones strung on a velvet cord terminating with two silver balls. The pendant measures 3 3/16" wide x 2 1/2" tall. The velvet cord is 27" long and can be tied at any length.
This most unusual necklace can be worn as something either sporty or elegant.
Antonio Pineda was one of the leaders of Mexican silver design in the mid 20th century. Books have been written about him and his work is in several museum collections, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Made circa 1960; excellent condition.
