The Arthur, Illinois Amish community is known for its arty, eccentric quilts and this is a fine example. Rows of hexagons are divided into strips and surrounded by triangles on either side. The quilt is made of cotton with a beautiful, rich blend of colors. Measurements are an unusual 43" x 73". The pattern is equally effective hung either vertically or horizontally. Made circa 1920.
