Although the name of this antique quilt pattern is Autumn Leaves, the choice of colors used here virtually screams Spring. A bouquet of flowers or leaves fills the center panel. Two frames of soft, buttery yellow surround two rows of undulating vines with leaves . The leaves all have the addition of embroidery. The quilt measures 78" x 82 ". The ground is a heavy white cotton on which the vines and leaves are appliqued. The fabrics are all solid colors. The white areas are quilted with diagonal lines and cable patterns on the yellow. Excellent, unwashed condition. The quilt is from Pennsylvania; circa 1930.
