Lovely version of a Birds in the Air quilt in blended soft colors. The Tulips border is an unusual feature. What initially appears to be a pot for the flowers is actually yet another Tulip. Quilting is done with a clamshell pattern in the white triangles and triple diagonal lines in the border. Excellent condition; circa 1870's. Shenandoah Valley of Virginia origin. Measurements are 74" x 84".
