It is not often that one finds an American quilt with wide swaths of blue resist fabric. In this rare example, the resist borders are in excellent condition with some damage to the brown print of the central panel. It is shown in the thumbnail photos. Fortunately, it is fairly inconspicuous. The front of the quilt is cotton with a linen backing. Measurements are 82" x 90". The resist fabric is late 18th century with the interior prints closer to 1800.
