Chintz Diamonds in Bars Quilt: Circa 1850; Pennsylvania

"Dressy" Diamonds in Bars quilt with beautiful fabrics that include a chintz border. The Bars are filled with squares within diamonds that alternate with solid bars of a printed leaf and vine fabric. The colors blend well together with the yellow print giving a touch of "pop". The yellow has small figures of hunters with their hounds The chintz border repeats some of the indigo used in the body of the quilt. The quilt measures 86" x 92". There is some slight dye transfer on the yellow print on one end of the quilt but no other mentionables. Made circa 1850; Pennsylvania origin.
