Feathered Star Crib Quilt: Circa 1840; Pennsylvania

This stunning Feathered Stars crib quilt has the additional feature of being reversible.
The front side is a group of both Feathered and Evening Stars in a wonderful variety of red prints. They are set on a solid glazed blue cotton. The front is in spotless condition.
The reverse is a triangles pattern done with two different prints (one with a glaze) and the same solid blue as on the other side. There is one smudge in the center diamond.
The quilt measures 42" x 43 1/2". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1840.
It is a dramatic, unusual beauty.
