Although this floral bouquet quilt has the pixilated look often seen in the designs of quilt designer, Anne Orr (1875- 1946), it was actually created by Mountain Mist. They named the pattern Cross Stitch Garden. The use of geometric pieces to create a floral pattern is out of the ordinary for Mountain Mist designs. This quilt measures 74" x 80". The green in the central frame is made of the same one inch squares as the rest of the interior. The green of the outer borders consists of sold pieces quilted with wreath patterns. Condition is excellent. Illinois origin; circa 1930.
