This Hexagon Stars quilt is a brilliant combination of
Six Point Stars with appliqued flowers on stems. It is beautifully executed with the yellow hexagon centers of each star repeated by the yellow center of the flowers. The green leaves and stems delicately connect the stars. The powerful zigzag border works well with the geometry of the Star blocks.
The quilt is in excellent, probably unwashed condition. Measurements are 70" square. Lancaster County, Pennsylvania origin; made circa 1930's,
