This Mennonite Drunkard's Path is a real eye dazzler. The solid red and green, opposing colors on the spectrum, give a shimmering effect. The quilt is in excellent, unwashed condition. The diamond inner border is a nice variation from the curved pieces of the Drunkard's Patch pattern. The outer border is quilted with diagonal lines and a cable pattern in the inner border.
The backing of the quilt is a fabric with a small print while the front is all solid colors. Measurements are 80" x 82". Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Mennonite; circa 1880's.
