The Tumbling Blocks (aka Baby Blocks) pattern is always terrifically three dimensional and this is no exception. The use of solid black for the bottoms of the blocks with mostly printed fabrics for the other two sides is particularly effective. The front of the quilt is all wool and the back a printed cotton. It is well quilted with wreaths in the corner blocks and fan unusual design of leaves and berries throughout the border. Condition is excellent.
The quilt measures 73" x 84". Pennsylvania origin; made circa 1880.
