This Concentric Frames quilt just keeps on going. The sunburst center is surrounded by 4 rows of triangles with Pinwheel corners. Beyond that is a frame of triangles going in a different direction. Another band of triangles follows with a streak of lightning frame and stars in the corners. Four additional groups of triangles are next, each separated by a line of triangles facing a different direction. A strong Streak of Lightning is within the outer band of triangles. There is consistency to the placement of Stars and Pinwheels in the corners. The quilt is made of a huge number of fabrics that are well combined. This is an original and complex design. Condition is excellent. Measurements are 68" x 71". Made circa 1890.
