Contemporary inlaid stone pendant made by Daniel Nieto of the Santo Domingo Pueblo. The turquoise is from the Kingman mine in Arizona. The stones for Kingman jewelry were first mined by the Navajos dating back to 600 AD. Some of the finest quality turquoise came from this mine. In addition to the turquoise, the pendant includes: black onyx; mother of pearl and coral. They are set in sterling silver.
Measurements are 2 1/2 inches in length plus the silver bale making it 3 1/4 inches x 2 1/8 inches. The backing is black onyx. This pendant would be stunning hung either on a silver chain or a leather cord.
