This elegant Octagons quilt forms two additional patterns. Triangles around the primary octagons form both Hourglasses and Stars. The white blocks are quilted with a pattern of sand dollars. The indigo is a luscious ombre with leaves and stylized flowers from the mid 19th century. The triangles border is a nice complement to the interior pattern. The maker took tremendous care in showing the reddish flowers for the points of each border triangle. Measurements are 90 inches square; condition is excellent.
