This Antique One Patch crib quilt is made with a terrific assortment of solid and printed fabrics from the 1870's to about 1890. Many of the prints are "conversational" with such motifs as riding crops and spurs, anchors, dice, horse and dog heads. The quilt is in immaculate unwashed condition. There is ever so slight oxidation to some of the solid orange blocks. The construction is actually nine patch blocks but the way they are placed together makes it "read" as a One Patch.
The quilt measures 46" x 50". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1890.
