Pinwheels within the eight pointed stars make for a nicely complex pattern in this Mennonite quilt. It is in excellent, unwashed condition with a wide cable quilted in the border. This is not what one usually thinks of as a Mennonite quilt but those from the 20th century are quite different from those made in the 19th. This quilt is from the 1920's or 30's; from a Mennonite farm in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The printed backing is clear evidence of the 20th century date. Measurements are 80" x 82".
