This Pinwheels crib quilt is set up in such a way that it creates an additional pattern of Streak of Lightning with the sashing. It is made with a very Pennsylvania combination of calico fabrics. The sawtooth border is a nice follow through of the triangle theme of the interior of the quilt. There are several very light spots of some color loss on the peach fabric that are visible with close examination but they are very minor. The back is made of different fabrics than the front that are pieced in a Bars pattern. Measurements are 38" x 48". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880.
