Both the pattern and use of solid colors make this Pots of Flowers as exuberant as they come. Large groups of flowers coming out of small flower pots give a whimsical quality. Combining both fruit and flowers also adds to the fanciful design. Small half blocks of flower pots make a nice border in addition to the curved stems rounding out the corner blocks.
The quilt seems to have very light batting, if at all. It is very well appliqued but minimally quilted. Condition is excellent and unwashed. Measurements are 82" square. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1890.
