This is one of the very finest doll quilts I have seen. The design and execution are both brilliant. Each block measures 3/4" to a side. It is hand pieced and quilted. Quilting with white thread adds to the patterning as it shows especially well against the solid brown border and maroon blocks. The quilt is in pristine condition. It measures 12 3/4" x 13" and is professionally mounted on a frame measuring 14 inches square.
Made 1880's with a nice combination of calico; plaid; checked and solid fabrics. Pennsylvania origin.
