On first glance, this seems to be a basic geometric block quilt. With closer examination, one can see that it actually forms two patterns. There are the obvious white rectangles around a red square. Equally prominent can be the white square surrounded by triangles forming a Monkey Wrench pattern. The quilt is in unused, pristine condition.
It is quilted with both flowers and diamonds. Measurements are 66" x 76". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1900.
