I don't know that this is the proper name for this pattern but to my eye, it most resembles a snowflake. Alternating the blue and white blocks makes for diagonal light and darks that add to the patterning. The border is certainly an original touch.
The quilt measures 70" x 81". It is in excellent unwashed condition. Pennsylvania origin; made in the 1920's.
