This is a wonderfully miniaturized version of a traditional Birds in the Air quilt. Each block is just three inches to a side. The quilt is made primarily with a nice combination of soft browns and pinks. The fabrics are in excellent condition but there are water stains on the back that, with close examination, show in a few places on the front. Staining can be seen in the second thumbnail photo. The quilt has so much patterning, though, that the darkening is not very evident. Measurements are 70" x 72". Made 1870's.
