This is an exceptional example of the Trip Around the World quilt pattern on several counts. The printed fabrics are perfectly blended to create soft bands of harmonious colors. Each band of color begins with a solid followed by several rows of gradations of complementary prints.The quilt is in pristine, unused condition. It measures a 88" x 94", much larger than one usually finds this pattern. It fits generously on a queen or king size bed. Pennsylvania origin; made 1930's.
