This Windmill Blades (aka Pineapple Log Cabin) antique crib quilt offers many fine features. The design really shows the whirling motion for which this pattern is known. Because the quilt is just about square, it can be hung on point to create an additional dramatic design. The fabrics include unusual conversational prints among which are a variety of horses and dogs; men riding camels and women playing musical instruments. The quilt is in excellent, unwashed condition. Measurements are 38 inches square. Pennsylvania origin circa 1880's.
