Unusual cuff bracelet by silver master, Hector Aguilar. The bracelet alternates five cabochon onyx stones with stylized silver X's. The X's, as well as the rope banding on top and bottom, are oxidized to carry through the black of the onyx stones.
The bracelet is 1 9/16" from front to back. It has an inner circumference of 6 1/4" with an opening of one inch. A capable jeweler can compress or expand the size to fit many size wrists on a woman or man. Hallmark dates to the 1940's.
Aguilar's work is in the permanent collection of the Los Angeles Museum of Art.
