Rarely does one see a lone Feathered Star quilt. This prime example is done with beautiful colors and very fine quilting. There is a wreath in each of the corners around the arms of the star. The three borders have detailed stitching. The quilt is in very, very good but not perfect condition. Light marks seen on close examination could be removed with washing but I did not feel it serious enough to be essential. There is ever so slight color loss on some of the outermost border. These issues are minor and do not detract from the strong pattern and quality of workmanship. Measurements are 35" x 37 1/2". Pennsylvania origin; made 1870's.
