Nicely three dimensional sterling silver brooch centered with a cabochon nephrite jade. Made by the late silver master, Antonio Pineda circa 1960. The brooch is intentionally oxidized to give a darkened finish with the edges the original silver color. The brooch measures 1 3/4" in diameter and weighs a substantial 45 grams. Condition is excellent.
Pineda's work is in several museum collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
