This Mexican silver cross necklace with earrings is in the style of Matilde Poulat (Matl) but was not made by her. It is signed Dominguez, evidently an admirer of Matl's work. Both the cross and earrings are set with turquoise; coral and amethyst. The cross measures 3 1/2" long and 2 1/2" at its widest. It hangs from an intricate necklace that is 27" long.
The earrings have post backs. They are 2" long. One tiny turqoise stone on the cross is missing but there are no other condition issues. The piece has so much going on that the missing stone is most unobtrusive. Made circa 1960. Price for the set is $925.
