Here's a pattern I've never seen - Amish or otherwise. Sixteen squares are set on a diagonal creating a striking pattern with the solid black half blocks. The colors are well blended with a mauve inner border that is repeated in the interior blocks. The quilt is made of cotton. The front is in excellent condition. There is some staining to the back that does not show on the front. Quilting is done with concentric curved lines and leaves in the mauve border. Made circa 76" x 77". Burkholder Family origin; Mt. Hope, Holmes County Ohio. Made circa 1900.
