This early Amish crib quilt is made with a wonderful blend of warm, rich colors. The four corner blocks all include an unusual persimmon color. They pop next to the browns of the other blocks. The wide black binding adds an additional border to the other frames. The red blocks are quilted with squares that are less than one inch to a side. The border is quilted with double diagonal lines. The quilt measures 32" x 37". It is from Mt. Hope; Holmes County Ohio. Condition is excellent. Made circa 1900; all cotton.
