This is a classic Lancaster County Amish Diamond in a Square Quilt with the colors and stitching that collectors seek. It is made of wool with concentric stars surrounded by a wreath sewn in the center. The gray inner border and red corner blocks have the very unusual, if not unique, pattern of six point stars. The outer border is quilted with a traditional feather throughout.
Condition is excellent; made circa 1915. The backing is a plaid print done in cotton. Measurements are 71 inches square. The colors are a bit brighter than on my monitor.
