This reversible comforter is probably meant to have the Nine Patch as the front as that is the side on which it is tied. To my eye, the One Patch is far more beautiful as both the color combination and the printed fabrics are luscious. The primary red print has birds in nests. The quilt is in pristine, unwashed condition. It is from Frederick County, Maryland; circa 1880's. Measurements are 76 inches square.
