This bold Six Point Star quilt is set in a frame that highlights the diamond shaped pieces of the Star. The central Star is made of a combination of solid and printed fabrics from the 1880's. The quilt is in excellent, unwashed condition. There is very faint inconsistency to some of the yellow pieces as some color has rubbed off when the quilt was folded. The quilt has so much going on, though, that it takes a careful eye to notice this. Measurements are 70" x 82"; Lancaster County, Pennsylvania origin.
