Wonderfully scaled down version of a Straight Furrows pattern done in crib size. The quilt is made of several wool fabrics with a cotton flannel backing. The lighter blue Log Cabin centers really "pop" against the other colors.
It is in excellent condition with a patch measuring 1/2" x 1 3/4" appliqued on the outer border. The patch is quite unobtrusive. It was done with the same wool as used throughout the border which leads me to believe it got caught on something early in its life when the maker had the same material on hand. Measurements are 37" x 48". Made circa 1910; Holmes County, Ohio Amish.
