Both the colors and pattern of this unusual Star pattern make the quilt a real standout. The large Feathered Star is filled with five smaller blocks of Ohio Stars. The triangle feathers of the large star are mirrored by the sawtooth border. The outer border is quilted with a cable pattern. The interior blue ground is stitched with wreaths. The quilting is done entirely with white thread.
The quilt is in excellent, probably unwashed condition. It is Amish, probably from Ohio. Measurements are 72" x 78"; made circa 1920.
