Both the pattern and use of color make this midWest Amish Streak of Lightning quilt extremely three dimensional. The black on either side of the pink streaks is very effective in providing a lot of depth. It is a pattern not often seen and this example is an especially finely done one.
The quilt is in excellent, unwashed condition. Measurements are 72" x 86". It is well quilted with white thread. The outer border has a graceful scrolling feather. The backing is entirely chocolate brown. Made circa 1920.
