This Amish Sunshine and Shadow in a Diamond is as fine an Amish quilt as it was made. The pattern is a rarely seen variation. It is made of wool with a cotton back. The color choices are a perfect blend of the deep, rich tones found in early Amish quilts. The quilting is finely done with a scrolling feather in the outer border, cross hatch in the red triangles around the center and cable quilting in the inner border. Measurements are 79" square. Condition is excellent. Made circa 1920; Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
