This Barnraising pattern quilt is made with One Patches rather than the usual Log Cabin strips. The sold reds against the printed fabrics make a very strong statement. The prints are a combination of stripes; plaids; calicoes and florals. Somehow, they all work well together. The antique quilt is in pristine, unwashed condition. Measurements are 74" x 77". The quilt is from Lancaster County, Pa.; made circa 1900. The backing is made of bands of two different plaid fabrics to which the quilt can easily be reversed for a totally different look. A two for one!
